Every time you use your plumbing system, your drains and sewer lines are responsible for carrying all waste away from your home and to the public sewer. This means that soap, hair, food scraps, human waste, and other debris must travel through your drain and sewer line. Think of how often you wash your hands, use the restroom, or even wash dishes. Each time, more and more debris accumulates in your drain and sewer line, making a clog much more likely. It used to be that ridding your sewer system of a clog was a costly and extensive process that required excavation. However, due to advances in technology and equipment, this is no longer the case. At Boothe’s Heating, Air, Plumbing, Drains & Electrical, we are happy to offer hydro jetting in Maryland, including Glen Burnie, Pasadena, Severna Park, Odenton, Crofton, and nearby areas. This method is efficient, budget-friendly, and non-invasive.
When we arrive at your property, we will begin by inspecting your drain and sewer line to precisely locate the clog. During this inspection, your plumber will insert a high-definition camera into your system. This camera feeds real-time footage of the interior of your drain and sewer line to a small screen and allows us to pinpoint the exact location of any clogs as well as determine the condition of your pipes. Oftentimes, pipes that are too corroded or damaged are not suitable for hydro jetting.
To begin the hydro jetting process, a plumber will insert a multi-directional nozzle into your drain. This nozzle is attached to an industrial-strength pressure washer that can create streams with a pressure of 5,000 PSI. As the highly pressurized water reaches a clog, it will blast through it and effectively clear any blockage. If you’re dealing with scale, a smaller nozzle can be attached that will effectively scrub any build-up or debris from your pipes and flush it.
After the completion of the hydro jetting process, we will perform an inspection to verify that everything has been effectively cleared and your pipes are in strong condition. The goal is to leave your sewer line in like-new condition.
Why one of the main benefits of hydro jetting is the fact that it allows you to leave your yard intact and doesn’t require any costly excavation, there are many other advantages to this process.
